About Wendy Merrington
Australian artist, Wendy Merrington, was born in Sydney, with this spectacular harbour city proving to be a constant source of inspiration to her. Wendy’s natural empathy with Sydney Harbour has helped her express its full spectrum of moods. From stunningly dramatic night scenes to the contrasting colours of day scenes, she captures its many lights and shades. Her vivid, decorative style is instantly recognisable with a love of colour and freedom of expression, communicating a feeling of tranquillity. Her subject matter extends to colourful still lifes striking figurative works and landscapes inspired by her extensive travels.
